Marco Sartor at U Akron

The great Uruguayan guitarist, Marco Sartor, made his third visit to Northeast Ohio to play both a double concerto concert with the Ashland Symphony Orchestra AND a solo recital at the University of Akron, and teach a master class, all in two days.

Here is Marco on stage with the Ashkand Symphony Orchestra.
With Ashland Symphony, he played concerti by Vivaldi (in D) and Rodrigo (Aranjuez). The concert was extremely successful-beautifully played, well-accompanied and with good attendance. Ashland, OH (my town) is America's smallest town with a professional orchestra.

During the master class at U Akron, four students played. Adam Keeler got a lesson on the Prelude form Bach's BWV 997:

Jonathan Smith worked on Santorsola's first Sonata:

Daniel Silverman played Villa-Lobos' Prelude No. 1:

And Philip Logan played the Allegro from the Violin Sonata No. III in C.

On stage in Akron, Marco played works by Regondi, Bach, Tosar, Britten, Troilo and Piazzolla.
