Oberlin Students Play for David Russell
David Russell returned to Cleveland recently, as the season closer for the Cleveland Classical Guitar Society’s series. His concert was brilliant as always, and replete with unfamiliar and new works, keeping up a lifelong mission of discovering and sharing new repertoire. As part of his visit, he taught a master class for area college students, an event which took place at John Carroll University. Two of the performers were Oberlin students: Damian Goggans and Suvan Agarwal.
Suvan played one of David’s own Bach arrangements.
Damian Goggans played a couple of short Tarrega pieces for his master class lesson.
