Max Lyman's Senior Recital
Max Lyman, Oberlin Conservatory Senior, gave his final recital Sunday in Fairchild Chapel. It was a great program, attended by one of the largest crowds I've seen assembled for a student recital (around 60). His program was excellent and he played it with authority and conviction, and no small amount of brilliant virtuosity. It included solos by Lauro, Bach, Takemitsu and Aguado, as well as the extraordinary Tonadilla of Rodrigo, for two guitars. He was expertly assisted by Stephen Fazio.
Recently, Max got the news that he was accepted to Yale University to join Benjamin Verdery's studio as an MM candidate. Congratulations Max, and Bravo!!
